Shankill Shared Women's Centre is a welcoming, safe, and accessible shared space for women in North & West Belfast and beyond.
The Centre boasts several facilities and spaces that are available for booking; please see below for details.
Multifunction Space
40 - 180 people
Our Multi-Functional space can be used for a wide variety of activities/events. The room contains two partition walls if you choose to separate the ample space. We have 18 round tables with chairs available. SSWC has a portable stage, lights, microphones, speakers, projectors, and podiums for hire. If you would like these for your event, please make a note of them in your enquiry.
Accessible Changing Space
1:1 space
The Shankill Shared Women’s Centre contains a purpose-built changing room for people with disabilities. The room includes a shower facility and bathroom, changing bench and hoist.
Please note that this facility is free of charge; however, you must book in advance to guarantee your space.
Training Rooms
Small - 8-10 people
Medium - 12 people
Large - 18-60 people
Shankill Shared Women’s Centre has several training rooms of different sizes that are perfect for workshops, groups, and meetings.
Computer Suite/ Meeting Room
18 people (12 PC's)
Fully kitted out computer suite for all your browsing needs. Space for both individual and group work delivery. Audio equipment available if required. Space can also be used to host meetings around our board room style table.
Cookery Room
12 people (6 workstations)
Our Cookery Room is laid out with both work stations, desk space and fully equipped with cooking utensils. Set up to accommodate up to 12 learners working in pairs.
Therapy Rooms
1:1 Space
Our building boasts two therapy rooms, which can fit a therapy bed and contain a sink for ease of use.
The Beacon
12-30 people
Our Beacon space is ideal to host any type of gathering - meetings, training, workshops etc. Boasting a self contained kitchen area for ease of providing hospitality within the same space.
