Our RAISE - Learning Together project has been designed to address educational underachievement and raise aspirations among children, young people and parent/care-givers within the Greater Shankill community.

The project will deliver support across three key strands:

  • Afterschool / Homework Club (Primary 6 & 7)

This element will help Primary 6 and 7 pupils build literacy, numeracy and digital skills, boost confidence and develop the resilience and study skills needed for a successful transition to secondary school.

  • Peer Education (age 14+)

Our 6-week programme supports young people to build confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing, explore healthy relationships and raise aspirations for future education, training and employment in a safe, supportive environment.

  • Adult Education & Personal Development

Parents and caregivers will be supported to gain accredited GCSE Maths and English qualifications, attend revision classes for the same subjects or take part in personal development activities through our Steps to Excellence programme: building confidence, improving employability and strengthening their ability to support their children’s education in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.
